biography

Adam is part of Electric's Advisor Network. He advises founders on engineering architecture, organizational scaling, open-source strategy, and product infrastructure—especially in high-trust, high-scale domains like crypto and AI.

Adam is a seasoned engineering leader with over two decades of experience leading technical teams and developing foundational products across fintech, social, AI, and Web3. He is currently a Member of Technical Staff at Anthropic, where he's building Claude Code, a natural language-based terminal that enables developers to work with their code and systems more intuitively. Before that, he was a Technical Fellow at Electric, working closely with portfolio companies on technical hiring, system design, and developer tooling.

Previously, Adam served as VP of Engineering at Robinhood, where he helped lead the company through hypergrowth, scaling engineering operations during a period of intense technical and regulatory complexity. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade at Facebook, where he led the Product Infrastructure team responsible for some of the most impactful open-source projects in the modern web stack—including React, React Native, GraphQL, and Yarn. His entrepreneurial background includes co-founding Sharegrove, a group messaging startup acquired by Facebook in 2010. Earlier in his career, he was Chief Software Architect at Laszlo Systems and held product-focused engineering roles at Microsoft, Rocket Science, and Purple Moon.
